Some Errors in PMIS and Pothole App

Errors Observed in PMIS, Pothole App and Dashboard

Some Errors Observed in PMIS, Pothole App and Dashboard

PMIS App

1) Error in Dashboard and PMIS Work Numbers (Taken at the same time):

Total works in PMIS = 398

Works finalized using the "Completed" tab should be considered complete in all respects, but they are still visible under "Processed TS".

Works observed in Dashboard – Graphical Presentation

Total number is missing (should show 399 works). Only Finalized AA works are visible. Hence, completion target status cannot be properly estimated.

Works observed in Dashboard – Works Data Entry Status

Difference of 1 work: 398 works visible against expected 399. Also, why is all Maharashtra data visible in my division login? Without using the search/filter option, it becomes very difficult to locate relevant data.

Pothole App

1) PCRS App:

As this is a public reporting app, many PWD officers consider it of no use to them because they already work on the MyPWD app for complaint handling.

2) Complaint Numbers not matching between App and Dashboard

Total Complaints visible to Executive Engineer on Dashboard = 9

Pothole Dashboard Complaint Count
Dashboard – Showing 9 Complaints

Total Complaints visible to Executive Engineer on MyPWD app = 5

MyPWD App Complaint List
MyPWD App – Showing 5 Complaints

3) Misinterpretation by Common (Non-technical) People and Officers

Common people think complaints remain un-attended for 4/7/15/30 or more days.
Suggested better column headings: "Complaint replied within 4 days", "within 7 days", "within 15 days", "within 30 days". The current top heading is often ignored, leading to unnecessary targeting of officers in meetings.

Complaint replied by field officer (Peth Subdivision) on the same day – Detailed report:

Common people often interpret this as "not even checked on map".
In reality, for Peth Subdivision, 2 complaints were addressed within 4 days and "yet to be replied" = 0. This means all received complaints were checked and complied with.

4) Proximity to NH road – Mapping Error

Near junction points of NH and PWD roads, the system shows "Subdivision not Mapped" error.

Location is near National Highway but the asset code is shown as SH-29.
