How to Use Project Plan Module in NTKMA PMIS
Step-by-Step Detailed Explanation for Adding Tasks, Subtasks, Activities & All Important Features
1. Overview of Project Plan Module
This module is used to create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for infrastructure projects under Nashik Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela 2027. It allows you to define:
- Tasks – Major work items
- Subtasks – Detailed breakdown under tasks
- Activities – Granular level items for progress tracking
Important: Once the plan is Verified, editing becomes restricted.
2. Initial Steps After Opening the Page
- Select your Project from the top dropdown menu.
- The system automatically checks the verification status (
data-isverifiedplan). - If the plan is already verified:
- “Add Task” button will be hidden.
- Most editing options will be disabled.
- You will see warning messages when trying to edit.
3. Adding Tasks & Subtasks
Method A: Using Main “Add Task” Button (Recommended for new projects)
- Click the green button “Add Task”.
- A modal window opens with a treeview structure.
- Enter Task Name, Start Date, and End Date.
- Click the + (plus) button next to the task.
- You will get two options:
- Add Same Level → Add another task at the same hierarchy level.
- Add Sub Level → Create a Subtask under the current task.
- Continue adding tasks and subtasks as needed.
- Click “Create Task” at the bottom to save all tasks in bulk.
Method B: Add Task/Subtask Under Existing Task
- In the main task table, click the + icon next to any existing task.
- A popup modal will open.
- Add new task or subtask and save.
Tip: Click on any parent task row in the table to expand or collapse its subtasks.
4. Adding & Managing Activities
- Click the red button “Add/Delete Activity”.
- The screen splits: Left side shows Tasks & Subtasks tree, Right side shows activities.
- Click on any Task/Subtask on the left panel.
- On the right side, fill details for each activity:
- Activity Title
- Unit of Measurement (Km, Nos, Cum, etc.)
- Target Value
- Start Date & End Date
- Click “Save Activity”.
- You can add multiple activities for one task.
5. Other Important Tools & Features
A. Task/Sub-Task Weightage
Click the yellow button “Task/Sub-Task Weightage”. This opens a separate page where you assign percentage weight to each task and subtask. Total must be 100%. This is crucial for overall progress calculation.
B. Reset Task / Subtask Sequence
- Click “Reset Task Sequence” or “Reset Sub Task Sequence” button.
- Drag and drop rows to reorder.
- Click “Update Task Sequence” to save the new order.
C. Task Dependencies
- Click the chain-link icon on any task.
- In the modal, you can link the current task to other tasks (same project or different projects).
- This creates logical dependencies (e.g., Task B cannot start before Task A is finished).
D. View Project Plan
Click the blue button “View Project Plan” to download a complete visual project schedule (usually in PDF format with Gantt chart view).
E. Update Physical Progress
Click the blue button “Update Physical Progress”. This takes you to another module where you can update actual % completion of activities.
F. Activity Sequence Reset
- Inside Activity view, click “Reset Sequence”.
- Drag and drop activities to change order.
- Click “Update Activity Sequence” to save.
6. Action Buttons Summary
