7.0 Construction Procedure & Work Methodology

7.1 Pre-Painting Operations
- Deploy experienced, skilled painters for all specialized application stages[cite: 1].

7.7 Specific Paint Types & Application Details
White Wash
- Prepare slaked lime solution (Donga) by mixing crushed lime with water and filtering through cloth[cite: 1].
- Add fabric whitener (Indigo powder), glue, and salt to the Donga mixture[cite: 1].
- Apply 1st coat using three-way brush strokes (down, up, left-to-right)[cite: 1]. Allow to dry before applying the 2nd (and optional 3rd) coat[cite: 1].
Colour Wash
- Prepared similarly to white wash, replacing Indigo powder with specified color pigments[cite: 1].

Dry Distemper

IMPORTANT NOTE ON THINNERS:
Do not add thinners (like mineral turpentine) merely on the assumption that factory paint is too thick[cite: 1]. Viscosity must be checked prior to adjustment[cite: 1]. Thinner addition requires prior technical approval and must follow manufacturer guidelines[cite: 1].
Lustre Oil Paint
- Follow OBD prep steps, adding a base coat (50% white oil paint + 50% primer + thinner) over the second putty layer[cite: 1].
- Apply two coats of Lustre paint (thinned ~500 ml per liter or per specs)[cite: 1]. Apply a thin 3rd coat if required[cite: 1].
Paint on Structural Steel / MS Surfaces
- Clean steel surfaces of rust and mill scale using emery paper/wire brushing[cite: 1].

Plastic Emulsion & Plastic Acrylic Paint

Textured & Special Decorative Finishes
